We are an independent, privately owned and run educational toy store in the Cowesett Corners Shopping Plaza in Warwick, Rhode Island (the plaza anchored by Stop and Shop, Babies’ R Us, and Christmas Tree Shops).
The store is owned and operated by myself, and my wife Jennifer. I have 20 years of experience in retail including 11 years as a Buyer. My wife, Jennifer, is a speech and language pathologist doing private work, and also spends a few days a week at the store. She runs our twice weekly Storytime, our crafts activities, and is our educational expert to add to our retail and toy expertise. We also have 2 daughters (4, and 1), who you will often find at the store playing with toys, reading books, or dancing...
In just a little over 2 years of being in business, we already have built a relationship where we know many of our customers by name, and vice versa. While we are in a good sized shopping center, we maintain the neighborhood feel of a mom and pop toy store. We cater to the local area by supporting the local schools, daycares, preschools, and special events.
Our store is unique from other independent toy stores because we bring experience in retail and education, along with entrepreneurial enthusiasm. The store’s focus is on quality, educationally based products including toys, games, puzzles, arts & crafts, science, construction, outdoor fun, pretend play, books, audio and DVD’s, for children and the entire family.
